Amigos, buenas noches…, comenzamos nuestro encuentro de cada semana con el saxofonista italiano Stefano Di Battista desde Morricone Stories (Warner Music | Abril 2, 2021) dedicado a la música que el genial Ennio Morricone compuso para películas con la inclusión de un único inédito. Seguimos con el pianista francés, radicado en Canadá, Simon Denizart desde NOMAD (Laborie Jazz | Abril 23, 2021) a dúo con el percusionista Elli Miller Maboungou, muy interesante…

El primero de los músicos venezolanos para hoy, el pianista Edward Simon con 25 Years (Ridgeway Music | Oct 9, 2020) compilación lanzada en celebración de sus 25 años en la música, lo acompañan celebridades del ambiente. Más con otro dúo: Miguel Zenón & Luis Perdomo con El Arte Del Bolero (Miel Music | Enero 8, 2021), en donde el saxofonista portorriqueño y el pianista venezolano recrean algunos clásicos.

Otro pianista venezolano, el último, Benito Gonzalez desde Sing to the World (Rayne days | Mayo 14, 2021) secundado por grandes del movimiento en un álbum muy polentón. Lo anticipamos como novedad hace pocos días, lo último del saxofonista estadounidense Chris Potter con su Circuits Trio desde Sunrise Reprise (Edition Records | Mayo 14, 2021) la continuidad de su anterior Circuits de 2019.

Nos quedamos por acá con el Pipi Piazzolla Trio desde Rata (Club del Disco | Junio 28, 2019) su tercer álbum al frente del trio, su proyecto a menor escala fuera de Escalandrum. Otro disco muy interesante el del quinteto finlandés Second Wind Quintet desde el disco homónimo Second Wind Quintet (Challenge Records | Marzo 6, 2020) el debut del quinteto. Cerramos con un pedido de un oyente, Revelation de Yellowjackets (Live Wires / GRP | marzo 17, 1992).
